Mr. K.A.Shah has
a B.E. degree in Civil engineering with honors from L.D.
Collage of Engineering, Gujarat University (1990).
He holds the distinction of securing the first rank
in all eight semesters of Engineering.
He also holds a Master’s degree in Civil engineering from
North Carolina State University (NCSU), Raleigh, U.S.A.
with a GPA of 4 out of 4 and was nominated as a member
of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society for academic achievements.
Technical Experience:
The manufacturing of C.S.I.M. is the natural extension of
Civil engineering Technology.
He was a Research Assistant at the Civil
Engineering Department, NCSU, from 1990 to 1993 where he
was involved in an ASTM testing procedure development for
the National co-operative Highway Research Programme,
U.S.A. He has presented a technical paper at the
Transportation Research Board meeting held at Washington,
D.C., U.S.A in 1992. He has also presented a paper on
Optimal Resource leveling at the Fifth International
conference on Computing in Building and civil Engineering
at Anaheim, USA.
He was a Project Engineer at CTL Engineering, one of the
ENR top 500 consulting firms, located in Raleigh, U.S.A
from 1992 to July 1994 and has handled projects worth US$
1 million.
After joining MIPL in 1994/95 he has actively handled the
various aspects of the project.
Other:
Mr. Shah is a voting member of the Thermal Insulations
Sub-committee CHD 027 of Bureau of Indian Standards, New
Delhi, India.
He has actively worked in the area of energy conservation
and through his innovative modifications he has helped
achieve tremendous cost savings in Rolling mills and small
Foundries.
He
has also made a presentation on “Thermal Energy
conservation” at a seminar on “ Energy Management- the
New Imperative “ organized by the confederation of
Indian Industry and subsequently on “Role of
insulation” in an Energy Conservation seminar held by
National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Rajkot.
